A third of each print sale goes to Suffolk Coast and Heaths
In the early part of 2010 I produced four prints for Suffolk Coast and Heaths, www.suffolkcoastandheaths.org an organisation dedicated to the protection and promotion of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The four prints are now being used as part of their branding.
In the belief that these images would have a wider appeal Suffolk Coast and Heaths have allowed me to print a special edition. Unframed prints can only be bought directly from me and will not be available in any gallery. This makes it possible for 33% of the sale price to go towards funding conservation work in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths area.
The four black and white lino cuts show different aspects of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They also represent the four seasons, Spring Marsh, Summer Coast, Autumn Heath, Winter Estuary.
Framed examples of the prints can be seen from 17th July to 29th August 2011at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh and Gallery 2 at the Town Hall Galleries in Ipswich as part of the Suffolk Craft Society’s summer exhibition.
Malcolm Farrow, Communications Officer with the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB Unit said “It’s great that we’ve been able to team up with Clare for this exciting project. The four prints are a wonderful evocation of the AONB and showcase Clare’s unique talent and skill. They are bound to be popular and I expect the edition to sell out quickly. Our conservation work will also directly benefit from every print sold, so I urge anyone with an interest in art and a love of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths to view them on Clare’s website without delay”
